Position Summary

We are looking for an eager individual who isn’t afraid to take initiative to help Vantage grow its Trimble Agricultural software business. Previous sales experience is not required as long as you are sharp, dedicated and motivated with a desire to be “part of something”.

You are responsible for selling Trimble's SaaS offering to farmers and growers in Canada. The focus of the role is existing/new business sales within the agricultural sector. This role that will focus on managing and closing deals in the sales pipeline. This position may require travel up to 20% for customer meetings and trade shows.

In this role, you will...

• Maintain and expand client database within your assigned territory
• Evaluate customers’ skills, needs and build productive long lasting relationships
• Manage sales from lead generation, qualification, to final presentation
• Understand, position, and sell the Trimble Ag software portfolio
• Research accounts and generate or follow through sales leads
• Develop an annual sales plan to generate new customer leads with clearly defined objectives
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of sales opportunities
• Conduct product demonstrations of the features and benefits combined with solutions offerings
• Forecast sales, develop “out of the box” sales strategies/models and evaluate their effectiveness
• Attend meetings, sales events and trainings to keep abreast of the latest developments
• Daily CRM update with account information

• Self-motivated and driven
• Ability to listen to customers and identify key drivers for change
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Technical aptitude and a commitment to continued skills development on Precision Ag products and services
• Ability to influence prospects through business insights and confidence
• Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management
• 20% travel required throughout territory
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean record

• An excellent understanding of Agricultural products, Trimble Agricultural Software, or relevant industry expertise
