Position Summary

We are looking for a new business hunter for an inside sales role for Trimble Agricultural software. You are sharp, dedicated and energetic with a desire to be “part of something”. You have knowledge and understanding of solutions, industry best practices, and technology designs across multiple product families.

The focus of the role is existing/new business sales within the agricultural sector. This is a classic inside sales role that will focus on managing and closing deals in the sales pipeline. This position may require travel up to 20% for customer meetings and trade shows. You are responsible for selling Trimble's SaaS offering to farmers and growers in Canada.

In this role, you will...

• Manage sales from lead generation, qualification, to final presentation;
• Develop an annual sales plan to generate new customer leads with clearly defined objectives;
• Understand, position, and sell the Trimble Ag software portfolio to new and existing customers within the assigned territory;
• Maintain and expand client database within your assigned territory;
• Quarterly SaaS bookings;
• Research accounts and generate or follow through sales leads;
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of sales opportunities, representing 4 times annual quota;
• Conduct product demonstrations of the features and benefits combined with solutions offerings;
• Forecast sales, develop “out of the box” sales strategies/models and evaluate their effectiveness;
• Evaluate customers skills, needs and build productive long lasting relationships;
• Attend meetings, sales events and trainings to keep abreast of the latest developments;
• Daily CRM update with account information;

About you...

• An excellent understanding of Agricultural products, Trimble Agricultural Software, or relevant industry expertise;
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills;
• Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management;
• Technical aptitude and a commitment to continued skills development on Precision Ag products and services;
• Ability to LISTEN to customers and identify key drivers for change;
• Ability to influence prospects through business insights and technical confidence
• Self-motivated and driven;
• 20% travel required throughout territory;
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean record.
